With the addition of the balanced input and the use of polypropylene capacitors in the power supply, this non-feedback vacuum tube monaural power amplifier with a large triode 212E has achieved the clearer sound that CSPort pursues.

Large triode 212E

The 212E is a transmitter and modulation tube with a plate loss of 275 W, developed by Western Electric in the 1910s. Class-A single tube amplifier has difficulty driving a low efficiency speaker, but this unit has a plate voltage of 1,400 V and an output of 40 W. The damping factor of 5 or more is achieved by reducing the output power, so it can drive the low frequency range reliably.

*Two models are available: STC's 4212E (1960-70s production) and Jinzhou Electronics's 212E.

Two-stage configuration with C3g

Equipped with the ultra-reliable C3g, developed by Deutsche Telekom for telephone repeaters. The thin grid lines and large distance between electrodes enable high linearity amplification. Using only two tubes of amplification with the 212E, harmonics and mixed-modulation distortions are suppressed though no-feedback.

High fidelity input transformer

The input transformer makes up for the lack of gain in the two-stage amplification. It is received by a high linearity transformer with a high permeability super permalloy core and does not add anything extra.

* The input impedance is 1.5 kΩ, and should be driven by equipment with an output impedance of 300 Ω or less.

Original regulated power supply

We utilize a dual regulated power supply with a switching regulator in the first stage and an after-analog regulator in the second stage, which has been optimized for audio based on many years of knowledge in power supply development.

Proprietary in/out transformers

Proprietary transformers are used for the input and output. The transformer is an important part that influences the performance of distortion, S/N ratio and input/output impedance. Therefore, the core material, wire material, winding thickness, and winding ratio are meticulously designed and manufactured.

Left/Right independent power supply

Independent power supplies deliver power to the left and right channels as well as control circuits. Using all of the characteristics of the components together, we are able to preserve silence.

Resistance switching ladder attenuator

In a variable resistor that slides on a resistor, noise is generated by a point-contact diode, which can be a source of distortion. This unit is a crossbar twin structure. A gold and platinum contact relay switches the resistance and attenuates from 0 dB to -60 dB.

Vacuum tube type stereo power amplifier with direct heating triode GM70. Plate voltage 1,050 V, output 30 W+30 W. No-feedback technology creates a three-dimensional effect and a sense of presence, and expresses a clear sound.

GM70 made in former USSR (Ukraine)

Equipped with the former Soviet (Ukraine) GM70 with Pp=125 W. With a plate voltage of 1,050 V, 30 W+30 W (4 Ω) and 20 W+20 W (8 Ω) output, it can drive low efficiency speakers. *Two models with graaphite plate and copper plate.

The large output transformer developed exclusively for this product is installed. Multi-layer sandwich winding drives both small and large signals over a wide bandwidth. Low winding resistance and drive capability, so it has a damping factor of more than 5 despite being a no-feedback amplifier.

Normal, Dual, Bridge mode switching

One more unit can be used as a bi-amp to drive the high and low frequencies. In bridge mode, the output can be driven by 1.5 to 2 times.

Built-in MC transformer

Built-in MC transformer. The MC cartridge can be amplified by connecting a cable. The output is also isolated from other devices by a transformer system, which is not affected by noise. Using a high permeability super permalloy core is utilized, resulting in stable linearity.

Compatible with MC/MM

One MC and two MM cartridges are also supported, three inputs in total. By adding an external MC transformer, the MM channels can be used for MC cartridges.

Compactly designed turntable with a flagship concept. The weight of the granite base, the brass platter, and the air floating establish a high level of quietness.

The platter material has been changed from stainless steel to brass, following the previous model's housing design of granite base, air float, and servo-less. With this change, even open-circuit type cartridges (*) using air-core coils are not affected by magnetic flux leakage, creating a quiet and expressive sound.

Heavy turntable

The base is made of 19 kgs granite, which has been stabilized over 5 million years. The weight of the base and the vibration damping characteristics of the granite suppresses micro vibrations. It is also equipped with a platter of 18 kgs brass. This platter is floated by air. It is supported only by the pressure of the air (only a few hundred grams). Normally, with a single point of support, you'll hear a dinging sound when you hit the platter, but by damping it with an air layer, you'll get a knotty sound.

Non-servo motor drive

Servo noise is eliminated by open control. The platter is driven by a DC Brush-less motor and thread, and the platter rotates by inertia alone.

It uses a unique "XFD system" that provides to the motor a highly accurate voltage with no fluctuations, based on a crystal transmitter.

Available with two arms

Attachments for your specified tonearm are included. Linear-arm AFU1-2 and your swing-arm can be used. Two arm configurations are also available by adding attachments. (Up to 3 arms can be installed.)

Air floats and linear tracking make for the ideal pickup. Moves sideways smoothly with air. Air film absorbs unwanted vibrations and external noise.

Ideal sound pick-up

A vinyl record has more than 600 sound grooves of 120 μ width, with irregular intervals depending on the level of the signal. Therefore, it is important in tracing from the outer to the inner circumference in a stable manner.

・Movement to the next groove should be light and smooth.

・Transmission of only the vibrations emitted by the stylus without any micro vibration.

Also, the cutting race is ticked in a straight line during the record production process. So tracing in the same line as that is also ideal to eliminate tracking errors between the outer and inner circumference.

AFU1-2's concept

It has a unique air float structure and moves with a force of less than 0.1 g without servo. So it can trace the movement of the stylus tip without missing. It is then traced in a straight line (linear tracking) on the same track as the cutting machine.
